Description

The CLB-LFA-1/1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD18, also known as β2 integrin. CD18 is a 90-95 kDa type I transmembrane protein and associates with the α chain of CD11a, CD11b and CD11c to make a heterodimer. The CD18/CD11a complex is also known as lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) and plays an important role in cellular adhesion and inflammatory reactions. CD18 is expressed broadly by human lymphocytes and monocytes. Peripheral blood granulocytes express CD18 at lower densities.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The CLB-LFA-1/1 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested

The CLB-LFA-1/1 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at 5 μl (1 μg) per 100μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume).
