Description

The M1/70 monoclonal antibody crossreacts with human CD11b, the 165-170-kDa integrin α_M. CD11b non-covalently associates with CD18 to form α_Mβ₂ integrin (Mac-1) and binds to CD50 (ICAM-1), C3bi, and fibrinogen. Mac-1 is expressed by macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes. Through interactions with its ligands, CD11b participates in adhesive cell interactions.

Applications Reported

For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. The M1/70 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. M1/70 can be used for the detection of CD11b on human peripheral blood monocytes, granulocytes, and a subset of NK cells.

Applications Tested

The M1/70 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood leukocytes. This can be used at 20 μl per 100 μl blood (or per 1 million cells in 100 μl total staining volume).
