Accounts Receivable Specialist


Summary:

The AR Specialist is responsible for daily accounts receivable ledger activities including cash maintenance and processing, account reconciliation and analysis and collection of accounts receivable. This position is also very critical to the month end closing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):

  1. Handle processing of payments, research, and reconciliation of payment issues.
  2. Complete write offs, offsets and refund requests
  3. Communicate effectively (written and oral) within the organization. (Distribution centers, Customer Service and other departments).
  4. Communicate effectively with domestic and international customers to identify and resolve issues regarding payments.
  5. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  6. Validate the accuracy of cash applications to customer accounts.
  7. Maintain customer account profiles (credit limits and payment terms).
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably Associates degree in accounting but not required. Three to five years of accounts receivable experience.
  • Experience with ERP software required (Oracle preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills; well organized, detail oriented; strong oral and written communication skills; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Highly motivated and dedicated individual.

Sr. Cost Accountant


Summary:

Perform advanced cost-accounting work covering material and production costs, costs of sales, research and product development, and new products by applying principles of cost accounting. Compare actual costs to estimates and analyze variances. Develop standard cost data and accurate inventory valuations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Gather information needed from departments and set up all new part numbers in the computer system. Review bills of materials and routings for accuracy and enters in the system. Calculate annual standard labor and overhead rates for each manufacturing process.
  • Compile cost data for preparation of annual budgets including estimates of standard cost increases for the following year. Update standard costs annually or as needed (new products). Prepare cost estimates for new products and product changes.
  • Analyze manufacturing variance accounts each month and prepare reports. Proposed and generate entries to capitalize variances. Analyze changes in products, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs. Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
  • Review raw material and packaging standard costs for accuracy on a quarterly basis. Review purchase price variance accounts monthly.
  • Review monthly cycle count reports for large variances. Monitor inventory levels for negative quantities and errors. Review Slow Moving and No Activity reports for potential write offs. Calculate necessary reserves for Excess and Obsolete materials. Ensure un-saleable and discontinued items are disposed of, written off or reserved for as appropriate.
  • Assist in calculation of cost savings for budget and measurement of actual savings.
  • Reconcile perpetual versus G/L inventory balances on a monthly basis. Prepare monthly inventory turns report.
  • Act as a resource to Operations regarding all accounting issues, reporting and analysis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and three to five years professional experience in cost accounting, preferably in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP software required (Oracle preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills; well organized, detail oriented; strong oral and written communication skills; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Highly motivated and dedicated individual.

Senior Licensing Manager, Corporate Development


Summary:

Bring new business opportunities to the company, via OEM, licensing or acquisitions; coordinate and present new product leads in the company’s areas of focus; evaluate new business opportunities in conjunction with Marketing and Research &Development (R&D); present new technologies to our R&D and Marketing teams, and establish collaborations with companies and universities as needed.

This position will support the Corporate Development activities beyond individual antibody licensing opportunities. It has an important leadership component to it and will contribute to the organization’s new business opportunities to achieve the growth goals set for our company. It will also provide scientific guidance to the rest of the department members as needed.

In addition, this individual will perform a variety of other duties as required to support the department and the organization.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

This position requires expertise and skills in a variety of areas:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Strong quantitative and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs
  • Strong scientific background
  • Self- motivated; ability to contribute to, support, and effectively work as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent skills in prioritization and achievement of goals and objectives
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in biological science, immunology or related field and five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
