Conjugation Associate I


We are seeking a highly motivated Conjugation Associate I responsible for the production of fluorescently labeled bioconjugates, including chemical modification and conjugation to antibodies and recombinant proteins, and purification of bioconjugates. This individual will function as an integral member of the Manufacturing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):

As an associate of the function, this individual will assure that work is performed in accordance with production schedules, perform hands-on manufacturing tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, conduct multiple production runs at one time, and be well organized. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Learn and comply with policies and procedures set forth by departmental Standard of Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Prepare and initiate all procedures and documents under supervision
  • Carry out and optimize appropriate methods for the conjugation, purification and characterization of bioconjugates under supervision
  • Follow all departmental guidelines and procedures
  • Input data and observations into database accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain lab supply inventory and re-order as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma; Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or related field; 0-3 years experience in a lab environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Quality Control Associate


We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Associate accountable for in-process testing of bulk materials, and finished products. Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of laboratory tasks within a team environment. Specifically, running, and trouble-shooting Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Bioassay, and western Blot assays to assist in the quality testing of innovative antibody-based assays. In addition, this individual will adhere to all requirements of established quality systems.

  • Conduct in-process and final product testing following Standard Operating Procedures
  • Responsible for assuring that products are tested to meet the highest quality standards as determined by performance specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that QC tasks are completed according to: schedule, company policies, procedures and test methods.
  • Effectively implement and maintain the company's standard operating procedures for Quality Control.
  • Understands test results and pursues clarification of unusual results. Develops and uses system for anticipating and recognizing errors. Resolves discrepancies and reports results.
  • Adheres to good documentation practices to ensure data integrity and traceability.

Qualifications:

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a closely related field with relevant experience with 0-2 years of work experience in a Research or GMP Quality Control laboratory. Current experience performing a variety of antibody based assays for bulk materials, in-process materials and finished products is highly preferred. Experience writing and modifying Standard Operating Procedures is preferred. Fundamental knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as current GMP regulations and the ability to review and understand test data is highly desirable. Understanding and the ability to follow safety precautions and procedures which apply to the activities in the laboratory is required. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment is a necessity. Must be able to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and also have the ability to work independently. Candidate must have strong math skills; strong scientific background; excellent skills in prioritization and achievement of goals and objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently following verbal instructions and SOPs are required. Inside Sales Representative


We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Representative. This strategic cross-functional position expands the company’s market presence by selling and promoting a rapidly growing portfolio of leading edge products to researchers in the life sciences community.  The role serves a critical function by increasing the quantity and content of our customer database (CRM) and by following up, qualifying, and developing sales leads.   The successful candidate will be capable of achieving the essential functions described below in an assigned territory.

In addition to building and maintaining an effective working relationship with customers, field sales, marketing, and business development teams, this role will be specifically accountable for:

  • Achieving the revenue objectives for the territory as provided by management.
  • Realizing growth from small to medium accounts by selling the entire eBioscience portfolio to new and existing clients (cold calling will be involved).  Accounts may be from all segments – academic, industrial, government, clinical, etc.
  • Following up on leads from major trade shows, marketing campaigns, and the like.  Qualify, develop, and sell to leads or pass developed leads to field sales (if at key account).
  • Working closely and developing a comprehensive, mutually beneficial strategy with field sales representative partners and with marketing.
  • Presenting effective solutions to customers based on discussions centered on their research interests and needs.
  • Gathering and communicating market intelligence on research trends, competitor activities/promotions, and research funding environment.
  • Maintaining excellent communications with customers and marketing team members to ensure optimal company-client relationship.

Research Associate – Recombinant Protein


We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic research associate to join the Recombinant Protein Department.  The successful candidate will purify, characterize, and analyze recombinant proteins from various recombinant sources. The associate will support the development and production of bioactive molecules and protein based reagents for cell analysis and immunoassays.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Conduct the “de-novo” purification and characterization of proteins from mammalian, bacterial and insect cells.
  • Plan and execute research and development for recombinant protein production.
  • Participate in team efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, produce recombinant proteins and Interface with internal and external customers to support their needs.
  • Interest in learning and developing new technologies for protein expression, purification and characterization.

Job Dimensions

  • The successful candidate will be proficient in FPLC (Ion-exchange, Metal Chelating, Size-exclusion and Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography), HPLC (reversed phase Chromatography), ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting and UV/VIS spectroscopy.  
  • The successful candidate will develop, optimize and carry out the purification and characterization of recombinant proteins. 
  • The successful candidate will document results, organize data into reports and prepare manufacturing protocols and SOPs.
  • Significant skills in mainstream computer software are necessary.

Senior Accountant III


We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant III to work closely with various levels of management, auditors and accounting personnel as a member of our Finance department. The Senior Account III will be responsible for assisting in monthly, quarterly and annual close, intercompany, financial reporting, implementation and tracking of company policies and controls, balance sheet reconciliation and lead and provide guidance to staff members.  The Senior Account will also develop a good communication with the subsidiaries to provide useful information for accounting treatment and to provide support; perform financial analysis and recommend enhancements for process improvements; and participate in special projects as assigned.

  • Perform and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual close activities.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and perform various financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Ensure that accounting treatment of transactions is appropriate and conform to generally accept accounting principles.
  • Review various financial schedules received from subsidiaries to assist in consolidation of financials.
  • Prepare quarterly tax deposit estimates, sales and use tax return, personal property tax returns\reports and schedules and reports for the external tax accounting firm.
  • Preparation of schedules (BS Flux) as part of the quarterly reviews and year-end audit.
  • Manage Intercompany reconciliation and adjustment reports for specific legal entities.
  • Reconcile and review assigned balance sheet accounts.

Staff/Cost Accountant


We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant who will be responsible for the on-going analysis of manufacturing variances, standard cost review, and fixed assets. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):

  • Review and analyze inventory transactions and support cycle count activities
  • Communicate with operations personnel to resolve work order and inventory issues
  • Set and freeze standard costs for NPI releases
  • Review bills of materials and routings for accuracy
  • Analyze changes in products, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs and gross margin
  • Responsible for all aspect of Fixed Assets
  • Prepare Month End Reports and Journal Entries on depreciation, CIP and other fixed asset related entries.
  • Reconcile fixed asset subsidiary ledgers to the GL monthly.

Research Associate I – Product Development Tissue Culture


We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate I, Product Development Tissue Culture to support the R&D team by performing tasks and experiments under the guidance and training of the qualified R&D staff. This person will be an integral member of the team responsible for the development of high quality eBioscience products. This also includes the continued support (and in some cases, the continued manufacturing of existing products).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of biology and the area in R&D (biochemistry, chemistry, molecular or cellular biology or immunology) with >2 years of relevant work experience.
It requires attention to detail and commitment and dedication to the task at hand. In addition to the individual experiments, the person will also be responsible for maintaining the lab. This entails ordering, stocking, cleaning and organizing the lab.  The position requires excellent documentations of all procedures and results and organization by the individual. All results are to be communicated to the responsible staff member in a timely manner.  Person should be able to work independently on small tasks/projects with some guidance.

The person will learn all aspects required to produce antibodies using Hybridoma cell lines. The individual will perform a variety of biology techniques including tissue culture of hybridoma cells, sub cloning, characterization of cell lines, antibody concentration and ELISA. The selected candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot problems and test ideas to improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Competencies: Intellectual - person should have some analytical capabilities and be able to troubleshoot independently the simple experiments.
  • Interpersonal: the person should be a team player and communicate well with the group and supervisor.
  • Education/Degree: BS/BA 0-5 years or equivalent   
  • Math Skills: Basic algebra skills to determine standard dilution factors and chemical equations

Instrumentation Technician


We are seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repair, calibration and preventive maintenance of assigned eBioscience laboratory equipment in a timely manner. Execute moderate to high complexity projects with limited supervision. Responsible for tracking and correcting temperature alarms . Implement corrective actions whenever a hazard is identified and report safety hazard to the Supervisor and Safety Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.)

  • Perform calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments in a timely manner and properly documenting work performed in accordance with eBioscience regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair if feasible, mechanical, electrical, electronic and pneumatic problems affecting laboratory instrumentation.
  • Responsibilities include creating cal / PM due lists and maintaining data both on paper and electronically.
  • Assist in the daily inspection of both Facility and utility systems to ensure proper operation and report to Facilities Manager any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Execute routine and emergency repair work orders as assigned by Facilities Manager.
  • Work with entry level Associates to increase their knowledge of all Facility systems and instrumentation and assist with their training.
  • Required to assist other facility staff in daily job duties where appropriate.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor activities throughout the Facilities to ensure safe work practices are observed and the job satisfactorily completed and a service report explained and signed by vendor and eBioscience associate.
  • Perform all duties pertaining to the functions of Facilities Operations / Instrumentation as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in engineering and three to five years professional experience in laboratory instruments PM and repair, preferably in a biotech environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and electronics troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of laboratory instrument maintenance and calibration principles in a ISO / GMP environment.
  • Ability to document all work performed in accordance with ISO / GMP is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be self-motivated; well organized, detail oriented; effective analytical quantitative, and problem solving skills; strong oral and written communication skills; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
  • A demonstrated ability to utilize time management skills to effectively manage constant shifts in priorities is necessary.

R&D Planning Associate


We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an R&D Planning Associate. This cross-functional position is responsible for supporting new product releases and overseeing activities to ensure that established specifications and schedules are met. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, determining material needs for production, creating documentation, coordinating interdepartmental functions, and meeting with project leaders in Research and Development for status reviews. We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Representative to provide technical assistance to domestic and international customers regarding all research reagents/products sold by eBioscience.  Duties will include discussions regarding experimental design setup with investigators and assistance in choosing appropriate research reagents; protocol and data analysis support; and interacting with various internal departments.  Assays supported include but are not limited to: Flow cytometry, Western blotting, Immunohistochemistry, and ELISA assays.

  • Provide customer support and technical issue resolution via Email and phone
  • Discuss protocols and data analysis with investigators
  • Assist customers with their experimental setup and reagent choices
  • Update website and datasheets based on feedback from customers

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Biology or related field required with 5-10 years experience hands on lab experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic research associate to join the R&D Cell Analysis Department.  The successful candidate will support the development of new products by testing and validating antibodies for immunofluorescent staining applications.

  • Conduct immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry experiments to optimize and characterize antibodies for use as potential products.

Research Technician I


We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of Antibody production by use of Ascites production. These methods include Animal husbandry, Ascites collection, injections, bleeds, and tissue harvesting. This individual will function as an integral member of the Manufacturing team and is a motivated collaborator with strong interpersonal communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):

This individual will assure that work is performed in accordance with production schedules; monitor the health of the animals; perform database entry; In addition, this person will be required to perform hands on manufacturing tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, multitask, and be well organized. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Carry out and optimize appropriate methods for all forms of Vivarium responsibility including ascites collection, injections, bleeds, tissue harvesting, animal husbandry, animals health monitoring and general cleaning and facility maintenance
  • Assembly of rodent caging; receiving of equipment and materials such as food and bedding
  • Help in the transfer of new products, processes and protocols from R&D to Manufacturing; ensure that proper SOP's are followed according to manufacturing standards Backup for co-workers for vacation, sick leave or any causes for absence Weekend shifts as needed for health rounds or normal operation if required by work load
  • Log Animal usage and Vivarium maintenance records
  • Complying with department and regulatory policies

Qualifications:

A High School diploma, preferably a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology

  • A minimum of 1 years experience in a related field, preferably manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products with emphasis on Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong laboratory mathematical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player (demonstrated experience working in support of a successful project team)
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Animal handling experience and techniques is a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty lbs and stand for long periods of time
