  • Data for Anti-Canine/Human CD94 APC.
Description

Description: The HP-3D9 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD94, a 70-kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD94 belongs to the C-type lectin superfamily and is expressed by NK cells, NKT cells, as well as subsets of CD8+ T cells and gamma delta T cells. This molecule is present as a heterodimer with members of the NKG2 family of receptors on the cell surface. CD94 dimerization with NKG2A results in an inhibitory receptor that suppresses NK cell function. In contrast, CD94 association with NKG2C and NKG2E leads to formation of an activating receptor complex that binds DAP12, an adapter protein that contains an ITAM motif. The CD94/NKG2 receptor complex binds the non-classical MHC Class Ib molecule HLA-E and plays important roles in adhesion and NK cell activation.

Crossblocking studies indicate that HP-3D9 and DX22 recognize the same epitope.
