iPS Cells on Demand

B18R is a virally-encoded protein that acts as a decoy receptor for Type 1 Interferons. Recently identified by Warren et al.*, B18R enables increased cell viability during RNA transfection protocols designed to convert human somatic donor cells into iPSCs via direct delivery of synthetic mRNA's.

Enables highly efficient reprogramming of somatic cells to pluripotency, allowing for re-directed differentiation toward a desired lineage.
Removed the risk of genomic integration and insertional mutagenesis inherent to DNA-bases methodologies.
